CLUB FOOT
INTRODUCTION
Clubfoot department is a subdepartment of physiotherapy and rehabilitation Lady Reading Hospital (MTI) Peshawar which is established in august 2017 in collaboration with international organization ICRC for treating the all kind of clubfoot patients.
It is the first department of its own kind which is established for the very first time in in tertiary care hospital LRH-MTI.4
The children are treated here by different techniques to erase the deformity in two phases:
- Curative phase
- Preventive phase
From August 2017 till September 2021 total 1154 cases are registered in which 921 cases are on the preventive phase and they are living a completely normal life without disability while the remains patient in 1154 are still under curative phase in which different techniques applying including serial cast and physiotherapy and tenotomy to treat the patients.
The treatment provides by the clubfoot department is based on international standard and protocols.
LRH-MTI is providing these services and treatments free of cost to all patients coming from the globe.
