My name is Jabar Ali and I am currently working as Assistant Professor of General and Interventional Cardiology at the Department of Cardiology MTI, LRH since December 2016.
Previously, I worked as Senior Registrar in the Department of Cardiology MTI, LRH from January 2014 to December 2016.
I graduated from Bolan Medical College Quetta in October 2002 and then traveled halfway across the country to do my house job at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences from January 2003 to January 2004.

FCPS Part-1
I cleared my FCPS part-1 in July 2004 and then quickly joined residency in General Medicine in March 2005 at the Department of General Medicine in Khyber Teaching Hospital where I had the honor to work with great teachers like Professor Zafar Hayat and Professor Hashim Uddin Azam Khan. I remained at Khyber Teaching Hospital from March 2005 till March 2007 and completed my MCPS training in General Machine. Shortly after, I moved to the Cardiology Department of Lady Reading Hospital as Postgraduate Resident under the supervision of Professor Mohammad Hafizullah whom you all know is a national icon in the field of cardiology in Pakistan. I also had been blessed to have worked with Professor Adnan Mehmood Gul and Professor Zahid Aslam Awan who are masters in their own right
After Completion of Cardiology Training
After the completion of my training in cardiology,
I joined the department of cardiology at LRH as a registrar. I passed my FCPS exit exam in December 2011 from CPSP and started as a consultant cardiologist in the department of cardiology at LRH Peshawar. Shortly after, I won a scholarship for training in Advanced Coronary and Peripheral Intervention from Korean University Medical Center, Guro Hospital, Seoul, South Korea and joined as a Research and Interventional fellow in March 2014 where I met one of the great mentors of my life, Prof Seung Woon Rha who took me under his wings and taught me the delicate intricacies of Complex Coronary and Peripheral Intervention. I will forever be thankful to him and will remain indebted to him for the rest of my mortal life. I remained there till February 2015 and then returned back to the land of the pure. Upon my return from Korea, I started all sorts of Complex Coronary and Peripheral Interventions at LRH Peshawar. I became supervisor of CPSP for the fellowship program and currently, 10 postgraduate residents are working under my supervision.
